Macro Photography
Most people who know me, know that I LOVE to photograph nature, wildlife, the outdoors, pets, dogs, animals, cats, horses, alpacas, endangered species … anything that is beautiful, living and breathing, and keeps me outside and traveling as much as possible, and connecting via quiet non-verbal communication. (*of course I am always open for that to change, and to take on new opportunities)
AND, the other thing I LOVE to photograph, is flowers, using a macro lens. LOVE Macro Photography!
Here’s a few of my images, photographed in 2009 while on crutches, recovering from a broken leg and sprained ankle (which I got while photographing Trumpeter Swans in the Comox Valley). Yes it’s true, and while not funny at the time, I do get a chuckle out of it now, falling down while trying to take photos of birds.
So while I was itching to get outdoors and photograph, I could not, because I was not permitted any weight bearing activities whatsoever, for many months. So I photographed indoors, the beautiful “Get Well Soon” flowers that people sent me, and so, here is Macro in action:
