To date, I’ve been a purist “iPhoneographer,” with a focus on capturing and post-processing everything in-camera, using only the iPhone, wherever possible. (… with a few exceptions, where I have used Photoshop to reduce noise, and whenever I have done that, it is noted with the image … if it doesn’t say anything, it’s pure iPhone all the way…)
As I get close to saying Good-Bye to my “old” iPhone, I’m experimenting with iPhone apps combined with Photoshop. As much as I have thoroughly enjoyed the creative process and challenge of using my 2MP iPhone 3G. (Yes! Everything you see up until now, I challenged myself to create, using only an iPhone 3G) … I’m really looking forward to an upgrade in iPhone camera quality to an 8MP camera. (My phone is often used more for photography than phone calls 🙂
So, here is my most recent little experiment. This Forest Silhouette was captured and post-processed in-camera with the iPhone, using a few different apps, and then I brought it into Photoshop to achieve the final result you see below.
