“Medical oncologist” are not words you want to hear, to start your day.
“Chemotherapy” is not a word I wanted to hear to start my day.
As of this morning, chemotherapy AND radiation is on the radar now as a strong possibility in my treatment in addition to radiation. I can choose to say NO to chemo, and I will wait until my consult with both medical and radiation oncologists, coming up … but it is breaking my heart that I even have to consider this.
I am truly, deeply saddened, when I thought I had been given “good news” before, thinking “radiation only.”
Onward.
I need you more than ever before now.
