Yesterday I had to make a day trip to one of my very favorite places, Tofino and Long Beach on Vancouver Island. The reason for the trip was not a happy one 🙁 I had to remove and pick up art work and paintings from an Art Gallery that was closing it doors. The gallery gave artists 2 days to pick up work (not good business) as they were closing their doors. Fortunately I work from home and could juggle my schedule to make the trip. However, I wonder what happened to the art work of other artists who were not able to get there to pick up their work in person. So that’s the bad news. Too many art galleries are going under, closing their doors forever.
The good news? I always bring my camera for every trip to the West, West Coast of the Island. Bonus! I saw a black bear. I LOVE wildlife, so that was one of the highlights of my day. No award winning photos of the bear, other than it’s backside and bottom 🙂 so I’m not posting any of them on the blog.
However, I did get some beautiful shots on Long Beach during my walk after all business was taken care of. Here’s a couple:
