The bald eagle is my very favourite bird, as I have written on this blog before. Imagine my thrill when I came upon not just one or two eagles, but I found many families of bald eagles together, all of different ages and in different stages of development, lined up together along the shoreline, hunting for eels and fish in early spring.
A sign of good things on the way; upon seeing one, the bald eagle has never let me down. To have these powerful birds all line-up in a row perfectly for me, was incredible. I quietly waited and waited from afar, hoping that the one eagle hidden from view would step into one of the gaps for the absolutely perfect composition in a photograph but … no luck. But I will take what I got! Happiness.
Courage, strength, vision, unstoppable-ness and fearlessness, physically and spiritually powerful symbols, these bald eagles are for me. While in the midst of transformation, I could not have asked for a more timely showing of bald eagles to remind me that one, I am always in the right place at the right time, and two, that things do happen exactly as they are meant to (as I was the only person there on the beach), and three, animals and birds place themselves in front of you because you are the one that the message is for, in that very moment … it is then your job to figure out what that message, that meaning is, for yourself, and four, that I am, that we all are, much stronger than we could ever imagine.
Good things are on the way!
What do bald eagles symbolize for you?
